Deputy Chief of Mission, IWPR Iraq

Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM), the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCOM) acts as focal point for all Operational Management on all aspects of the Iraq Programme. The DCOM is responsible for operational and human resources management, and consistency with IWPR/USG rules and regulations. The incumbent sets policies and methods to maximize the IWPR Iraq programme performance in operations demonstrating capacity for innovation and creativity and providing advice to Project Management on re-adjustment of the operations to take into account changes in the operating environment as and when needed. The DCOM leads and guides the IWPR Iraq Operations and Security, logistics and HR Teams and fosters collaboration within the team.

Finance Director US

The Finance Director for IWPR-US serves as the financial and administrative manager for the organization’s fiscal accountability and creates and implements policy and process. Working in collaboration with the IWPR-Europe Director of Finance, this role is performed within a growing operation and requires both daily accounting and administrative functions, monthly cycles and reporting, and annual financial reporting pertinent to planning for the continued robust development of the organization.

Country Director Afghanistan

IWPR is looking to recruit a Country Director to oversee the organisation’s work in Afghanistan. IWPR is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic candidate with the strategic and operational capacity to implement our existing work and grow our programme both nationally and regionally. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in field project management and fundraising of complex, multi-institutional projects.

Specifically the role will involve: responsibility for the day to day management of IWPR’s Afghan programme, inclusive of managing local staff and international consultants; ensuring delivery against all current programmes, financial probity in field office, timely and accurate reporting (narrative & financial), and the development of new programmes for IWPR - Afghanistan; representing the organisation at a local and international level, ensuring appropriate and effective communications across the IWPR network.

Country Director Tajikistan

IWPR is looking to recruit a Country Director to oversee the organisation’s work in Tajikistan. IWPR is seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate with the strategic and operational capacity to implement our existing work and help develop new programme work.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, preferably in the media development sector.

Specifically, the role will involve responsibility for the day-to-day management of IWPR projects in Tajikistan; this will include managing local staff and international consultants; ensuring delivery against all current programmes, ensuring financial probity in the local office, providing timely and accurate reporting (narrative & financial); helping develop new programmes for IWPR in Tajikistan/Central Asia generally; representing the organisation in Tajikistan; and ensuring appropriate and effective communications with local staff, IWPR structures in Central Asia and other parts of the IWPR network.
